CANON K30225 Wireless LAN Compact Flash w/Akita
OK, I might have done something dumb (I think): I got a CANON K30225 Wireless LAN Compact Flash from ebay to use with my SL-C1000 (Akita), using Cacko 1.23. I did not check in the Intharweb if this card works with the Zaurus, although the vendor claims it works with the sl-c7XX...
The card shows the power led on, but no link. The wireless monitor does not see the card.
The output of cardctl status is:
Socket 0:
3.3V 16-bit PC Card
function 0: ready
Socket 1:
no card
Output of cardctl ident:
Socket 0:
product info: "Wireless LAN", "11Mbps PC Card", "Version 01.02", ""
manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002
function: 6 (network)
Socket 1:
no product info available
So, what do I do now?? Help! Puleezz?

I have no wlan experience.
I have no wlan experience. Have you checked the posts in the Networking Forum at oesf? I'm sure I've seen people posting what steps they go thru to get their cards recognized.
I think there is a specific file you need to make an entry in so your system can recognize it, you "bind" it somehow as I recall.
You could also poke around in /etc/ but I think reading similar threads at oesf might help a lot.
Look at this file: /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts
It might be the one?

I think I responded to your post on OESF forum. Did you get it working?
Linux fanboi running C3100 with Cacko, 6000 with OZ 3.5.4.2rc, 6000 broken, plus various PCs running SuSE10.x.
It works!!!
Doh! I am such a doofus!
I forgot to reboot my Akita, You gotta remember that pressing the ON/OFF button only suspends the Zaurus...
That did it nicely, wifi working like a charm.
OK, one of my many senior moments...
Nevertheless, thanks for your help, guys!
