In the wiki there are two keys mentioned that needs to be pressed (M and D) key. I wonder though which keys do they mean? Just the normal keyboard keys? Or A and D + shift (for capitals). or maybe some other key?

I have had my sl5500 for about two and a half years and have no idea what you are talking about!

What are you wanting to diagnose? Can you post a link to the wiki page you are referring to?

P.S.
Do you have any experience getting the zaurus to sync with Linux?

The Diagnostic Menu was only included on the C series and 6000 series Zaurii. The 5500 does not have this feature.

nope, absolutely no experience syncing anything with anything...all i have is my z, no laptop or desktop.

But when I want to diagnose a problem with something in general, I first keep a copy of all error messages and put them into google if I don't know what they mean, as well as searching oesf, if you haven't done that.

What ROM are you using? The answer will also depend on that!

Your question is best answered in a subforum for your specific ROM at oesf.

Also, I run strace before asking for help at a forum if it's a snarly problem, as that shows everything that happens.

Seems to me that I heard syncing is meant to be done with Windows by Sharp's ROMs, and that you need to do a lot of tweaking to get it to work on Linux.

Did you search oesf threads on the topic?
